George Falconer Anderson

Jessie Elizabeth Margaret Beales (Essie, nee Ryrie)

Wullie, Michael Valerie Kevin and families would like to thank relatives, friends and neighbours for the kindness shown to them following the sad loss of this beautiful lady Essie through cards, phone calls, flowers, visits and home baking. Ethel Green (nee Ross)

Billy, Andy and Val and families would like to thank everyone for all the kind and thoughtful expressions of sympathy following the loss of our Dad. Elizabeth Finlayson (nee Mackay)

The family of Elizabeth would like to thank all family, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy. Our appreciation and gratitude to the many carers, district nurses and staff of Caithness General who cared for and provided support to Elizabeth. Thanks too to Rev Howard Stone, Clair Harper & Son Funeral Directors and Castletown Hotel for all they did to help us celebrate Elizabeth’s life and to all those who joined us to pay their last respects. A sum of £900 was raised and will be split equally between Hearing and Sight Care and the League of Friends of Caithness General Hospital.

John, George, Donald, Marty and families would like to thank the many friends, family and former colleagues for their kindness and support on the loss of their dear brother, much loved uncle and grand-uncle, David. Helen Harrold (nee Carter)

Hamish, Donna and Hamish would like to thank all family and friends for the kind expressions of sympathy received following the sad loss of Helen, special thanks to Rev Janet Easton Berry for the comforting and uplifting service, Sanders Harper for all their help, Norseman Hotel for the refreshments, Flower Daze for the beautiful flowers, special thanks to Emily for the amazing arrangements in the church and Cynthia for her musical accompaniment. Donations for Myasthenia Gravis came to £337.00.

P.D.R

With typical tenacity, Dr P.D. Robertson lived into his 94th year. Born in Aberdeen in 1930, Patrick Dugan was the third of Lady and George’s four sons. Qualifying as a doctor, in 1954, from Aberdeen’s school of medicine, Pat married Nina Romero in 1955. They had daughters Amanda and Madeleine. In 1970, Dr Pat and his family moved to Wick; he became the consultant physician at Wick Central Hospital. A product of the first years of the NHS, P.D.R stayed committed to the original ethos of the NHS. In 1991, Pat was awarded the OBE for his work as part of Scotland’s Children’s Panel. In 1995, he retired from his position at Caithness General Hospital.

Pat is survived by Nina, younger brother Mervyn, and Madeleine & Mark. He was returned to Aberdeenshire, settling at Clovery Woods of Rest.

Kathleen, Raymond, Brian and families would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who offered their sympathy, on our loss of Sandy, by cards, phone calls, messaging and visits. The support has been overwhelming and we shall be eternally grateful. Thank you so much to Rev. Linda Broadley for such a special and comforting service also thank you to Rev. Matt Alexander. Words cannot express how touched we have been by the eulogy by Sandy’s best friend Jimmy Johnston. It was so beautiful and sincere and will be remembered not only by the family but everyone who heard it. Thank you to all who gifted us with food, baking, flowers, etc. we feel so blessed. We must thank all the people who offered friendship and love to Sandy over the last ten years including the Parkinson Group, Befrienders, Dementia Group, The Laurandy Centre and Riverside Home who also welcomed us as a family. We’re also very grateful to staff at Caithness General Hospital who made Sandy’s last few days so comfortable. Thank you Sanders for your help and guidance in arranging Sandy’s funeral, The Norseman Hotel for refreshments and especially to all who attended the funeral and made us realise just how special Sandy was to so many people. £760 was collected for The Laurandy Centre.

Clive and Brenda would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for all their support with messages, cards, flowers and donations following the passing of their son Gary. To Rev Heather Stewart for her care and comforting service, Sanders for the efficient funeral arrangements, the Nethercliffe hotel for the refreshments, Money raised for Cancer Research came to £870.50

Ronald Simpson

David, Alan, and Hugh would like to thank family, friends and neighbours for all their support with messages, cards, flowers and baking/meals, following the very sudden death of Ronald. Sincere thanks to Rev Matt Alexander, Wick Baptist Church for his compassionate and comforting service. Thanks to Jane Hamilton and Eilidh Patterson for playing beautifully at the funeral and for Pulteneytown Church for providing the venue. Huge thanks to all the many friends and colleagues who attended the funeral and paid their last respects to Ronald. It was greatly appreciated by the family. Thanks also to the staff and Committee of the Seaforth Club for organising the wake and Amalie’s Catering for supplying the food. The family would also like to thank Sanders Harper and the team at Sinclairs Funeral Directors for their sympathetic and efficient funeral arrangements.

Fiona and the family would like to thank family and friends for the lovely flowers, cards, text messages and baking. To all who attended the service and Wick Cemetery. To staff at Town & County, Rosebank Wing, Community Nurses, Macmillan Nurses and support workers for keeping James comfortable in his last days. Thanks also to Sanders Harper form his professional services and Sarah Wilkinson for her personal service and the Queens Hotel for their friendly service. Collection for Town and County Hospital came to £227.38.
