What to do after a death ?
Any death which happens in Scotland must be registered within 8 days by any relative of the deceased, any person present when the person died, the deceased's executer, the occupier of the property where the person died, or any other legal representative. This can be in person or by telephone at any registration office in Scotland. If the death have been referred to the procurator fiscal, registration can not take place until the death certificate has been issued.
